Helping Kids Understand History and Current Events

FundaFunda offers both US and World History

US History Honors: This class offers an engaging, interactive approach to learning US History. Through videos, games, simulations, and primary documents, students develop critical thinking skills and explore history's relevance. Assessments include creative projects like posters and videos. No textbook is used, but students must read one history-related book of their choice.

World History: This course for homeschoolers covers major global events and civilizations from 1200 AD to the present. The style is similar as for US History. There are quizzes but no tests in either class

You can find both these classes as well as World Geography, Government and Economics here: https://www.fundafundaacademy.com/.../seme.../socialstudies/

Please note:

  • Our classes are asynchronous ie students don't have to be in the classroom at a specific time nor do they have live sessions. There are weekly deadlines for assignments and all work is graded and feedback provided.
  • Our classes are designed for students who plan to attend college ie they are reasonably rigorous and will provide a good foundation for what they will encounter at college.
  • Our classes aim to be relevant and students have to reflect on what they are learning and apply it to their lives
  • Our classes are worldview neutral and students of all faiths, as well as secular students, should feel comfortable in them.

The Mystery of History was designed to teach students not only about history, but about God’s presence in history, and how He reveals Himself to mankind through Jesus Christ. Students will get the facts of history and the feelings it provokes as they sift through the highs, the lows, and the in-betweens of world history from a biblical worldview.
